April 13, 2011 - 5:33 pm
@MeltedGlass it’s like adjusting weights on a bench press……………personally i just use the non free weight leg press it’s the exact same work out and it’s a lot easier to adjust

April 13, 2011 - 6:19 pm
@7thSense when you do that,your ower back tends to rise and that is bad,he is doing a good job
April 13, 2011 - 7:18 pm
his ROM sucks. He needs to bring that weight down to the stopper. The stopper on most these machines are actually built too high and should be adjustable. This guy is doing 2/3 reps

@nathaneastbelfast555 make sure that your feet are straight up and down and not tilted to the sides.

@MarioBrosClassic Hey. I have your problem aswell. Increase the flexibility of your soleus muscle. It’s part of your calf muscle. You can then keep the weight concentrated on your heals when the weight is in the lower position. You can get deeper squats when you stretch the soleus over time aswell. Good luck.

my friend can 330 kg
April 13, 2011 - 10:29 pm
@MarioBrosClassic move your feet higher
April 13, 2011 - 10:36 pm
@kabalakabala Angle of knee should be 90 degrees. Also be sure that your knee does not go farther than your toes. The guy in the video actually has his feet a little low on the machine. Majority of the weight should distributed on your heels.

@titans091052 ROFL no
April 13, 2011 - 11:27 pm
@MarioBrosClassic You probably shouldn’t be lifting if you have to ask a question like that.
April 14, 2011 - 12:16 am
@MarioBrosClassic don’t come too low with your legs, when yo feel that your feet can’t bend any further, it’s time to push the weight up
April 14, 2011 - 12:33 am
@kabalakabala ….. I think it’s good to lower the weight until your legs are at about a 90 degree angle (upper leg from lower leg) … lowering it more, especially if you haven’t mastered this exercise, can put you at risk for injury… just my opinion =]

haha I’m 5ft 8 and weigh 78kg so yeah I’m a bit chubby and at my gym the highest option is 180kg and I can happily do 12 reps at over 6 sets without any stress or aching afterwards, is that abnormal? :S

April 14, 2011 - 2:06 am
Can someone please tell me how low should we go during the leg press? I know it should not touch the chest, but how low? What should the angle of the knee be?
April 14, 2011 - 2:23 am
how the fuck do you keep the weight on your heels when coming down it puts the pressure on your toes and front calf

@KawaiyoKoji It depends if you ever worked out or doing sports like football. Start off with 50KG is fine, if its easy go to 55-60. You really have to check yourself
