Hey can someone tell me whats an impressive 1RM in square and deadlifts? I’ve never had the opportunity to test my 1RMs but I think I’ve demonstrated leg strength in other ways. I’ve done like 20+ leg presses at 350 Lbs.

@abhijit184 regular squats should be done 1st since they’re harder. you put a lot of tension on your whole body, because you need to balance the bar. hack squats focus on your legs and glutes more.

@Prose48858 You realize he is only attempting to demonstrate perfect technique and not actually doing this for a workout right?

@Prose48858 Dude, like what the hell? I’ve seen your post on two videos already…nobody gives a crap what you “say” you can do. Just show me some proof, sorry if I don’t take it on your word. Jesus christ….

I’m no body builder! I am 5’6″ and weigh 140 pounds. I thought height might have had advantages but I don’t see any….I did the samething reguardless. I did full squats just like this guy…. that on the same machine 10 times at 400 pounds and I’m sure I could have done more if the camera was on. Never had a reason to post on youtube or know how, but I’ve got a reason now.

is this machine as good as the actual squats?? cuz i suck at squatting for some reason… :/
May 6, 2011 - 4:12 am
Well it comes down to preference but I work off a whole body, explosive power routine so my only main lifts are the dead lif and powerclean. So the squat is merly a support exercize for me. However, if the squat was one of your main lifts, as it is for most people, then I would say the leg press and hack squat would be support excerizes. Therefore, say you squat monday, come back wednesday and get the leg press and hack squat. So in short no unless your goin for a leg killer haha.

No becuase then your going to be more in the glute range and thats what you work the leg press for. The hack squat and leg press are support excersize for the regualr squat.

May 6, 2011 - 7:29 am
Thanks I was reading about this elsewhere, it does isolate the quads more……… fuckn hostile!!!!
May 6, 2011 - 8:19 am
Hack Squat works more on Quads.
Regular squats works quads, hamstrings, glutes, and everything else.
