I’m getting a membership at LA Fitness..?

I’m not fat, but I do not like my thighs! They’re not as thin as I would like them to be. And I want abs but that’s another story..
Anyway I am getting a membership at LA Fitness soon, and I was wondering what exercise equipment would make my legs thinner? Thank you!
Like for example, will a treadmill make my legs thinner? And any other tips are welcome ![]()
Walking on a treadmill at a good pace (that makes you sweat, not necessarily kills you though) and at an *incline* will really help you out.
The leg press machine is awesome – it will work everything AND your butt…you can’t go wrong there!!!
You can also do the thigh machines. Some people claim it works while others say it doesn’t. For me, it has worked.
Regardless of what you do, what is important to remember is that you do all of the exercises PROPERLY!! That will get you the results you want. You have to use your core, have the correct posture ,etc. Since you are just now signing up, see if you can get a free trainer sesson or something so that they can at least show you how its done and you can do it on your own after that.

I use this exercise equipment http://www.fit-shop.com/fitness-exercise-equipment/gyms/tuffstuff-apollo-5-home-gym.asp . I am doing different exercizes, just a little bit of everything. I do about 6-7 curls, stop, do about 6-7 lat pull downs, stop, do 4-5 seated mid-rows, stop, do about 7-8 floor mid-rows, stop, then i do some of the arm cross over exercizes with the pully. I do all of these with the most amount of weight i can do and low reps because i want muscle. Now, I just did this exercize a few times yesterday and today I am not sore at all, should I work out again? If im not sore are my muscles still rebuilding?
Well, if you want to build muscle, you aren’t doing enough. The heavy weight is correct, but you should do at least 4 sets of 6-8 reps for each body part. Also, proper form is a MUST! Also, how is your diet? You should be getting at least 1-1 1/2 grams of protein per pound of body weight and about 4 grams of carbs per lb. This should be broken into 5-6 small meals per day. Bodybuilding is 60% nutrition, some say even more than that. http://www.bodybuilding.com/ has all the information that you will ever need to do it the RIGHT way.
Good luck, and stick with it. You should start to see results in about 4 weeks.
I don’t have any fitness equipments, can’t afford the gym right now..How can I loose about 8 pounds?

I heard some exercises make you bigger.Im afraid of this.What can I do to loose 8-10 pounds in about 2 weeks?
First off, if you’re female you will NOT get big muscles from exercise. You’ll get toned and fit, and you can do it without joining a gym. Also, aiming for 8- 10 pounds in 2 weeks is not reasonable nor healthy. It can be done, but you will gain back the weight and more afterwards, guaranteed.
Make sure your nutritional needs are met–eat 4-5 small meals a day to keep your metabolism going, and cut down your calories to 1200-1450 per day. Remember that each pound is worth 3500 calories, so aim to burn that off through walking or running, and you can use water jugs at home for arm weights. Jumping rope is also a fast way to burn off calories. Also remember to stay hydrated–at least 108 oz. of water a day. Cut down on sodium and sugar.
Needless to say, you don’t need any equipment for pushups and crunches. Good luck
