What’s an effective cardio workout that does not involve running or equipment???
I refuse to run in my neighborhood because my mother-in-law runs all the time and she’s been attacked by three pit bulls during her runs.
I don’t have any equipment except a trampoline….is that cardio exercise?
Please help me get my heart pumping w/out equipment!!!!
A trampoline is cardio if you do it continuously for 20 minutes or more.
How about jumping rope? Or driving to a park to run.

Try walking briskly around the house. Walking up stairs, yard work, house cleaning, and the like all count as exercise! Any daily activity that raises your heart rate can be counted as cardio, just keep that heart rate up for 30 min or so!

it suxs that you cant run in your own town becuz walking and running are a really good work out alone.
try yoga or pilates they only require some space, a mat, and a medicine ball. also invest in a small weight set like 5–10 pounds. it doesnt take up a lot of room and you’ll be amazed at the results.

Trampoline jumping is actually an awesome cardio workout, plus it really strengthens your spine and lower-body muscles. But if you get bored with that, try putting on some really good music and dancing for a half-hour…I do that once or twice a week, and I love it. If you don’t like that idea, consider getting a few exercise tapes that you can rotate through, and do those. And if you really don’t like that, then put some of your own things together, like:
2 minutes walking on the spot
2 minutes running on the spot
3 minutes of jumping jacks
Throw some of your fave cardio moves together, and then repeat the sequence until you’ve hit 30 to 45 minutes. You’ll get your heart rate up for sure

Well…I know one solution, but there is one piece of equipment, albeit a very simple one.
It’s Step-aerobics. And you just need a low bench type thing. If you Google it, you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Also, there’s swimming and yoga.
Oh and yes, jumping on your trampoline for extended periods of time can be an effective cardio workout when done properly.

Shut your curtains, turn the music up & do 3-5 45 minutes of dancing per week! This is the only effective cardio workout i can think of if you prefer to work out at home & have no other equiptment. I’m not so sure as trampolining is realy an effective enough cardio workout. Another option could be to invest in a treadmill or exercise bike!

the trampoline can provide cardio but onluy from jumping. Try running in place on one. It is hard, and it gets your heart rate up faster than just jumping on it. it is also helps to strengthen your incore core and your legs muscles. If running in your neighbourhood is out of the question how about speed walking in the mall. You cant get introuble for doing it and it gives you a constant environment ( never cold or wet). Speed walking is just as good as running if not better. You can get your heart rate up and keep it there longer than running. You will not tire as easily and it is easy on your joints. You wont get bored doing it in the mall as it gives you ever changing scenery. Different people, floors and stores. Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck and Good health to you.

Good answers! Only thing I’d worry about is the stress jumping on trampolines puts on one’s spine. Good luck!
